Joyful Journey is an amazing place — and not just because of the scenery.
From the moment I arrived, everything invited me to relax. The mineral pools felt deeply healing, and the environment was calm, supportive, and clearly designed to help you slow down and reconnect — not only with your breath, but with your heart.
What I’m most grateful for is how I learned to work with stress in a completely new way. Instead of staying stressed for days, I now recognize stress much sooner and know how to return to relaxation more quickly.
Through Buteyko breathing and Sasha Yakovleva’s gentle, insightful guidance, I realized that much of my stress wasn’t coming from outside circumstances, but from living in the past or projecting into the future. Learning to come back to the present moment was simple, yet incredibly powerful.
Rather than trying to eliminate stress, I learned how to notice it, feel where it lives in my body, and meet it with awareness instead of resistance. Awareness became my most valuable tool — noticing, appreciating, even befriending stress, and then naturally returning to a more relaxed state.
Surrounded by breathtaking nature, nourishing food, and a group of like-minded people, this experience became more than a wellness retreat. It was a reminder that everything we need is available right here, right now.
I truly hope others have the opportunity to experience Joyful Journey Buteyko retreats for themselves.
